Napier Bridal Stylist

We are very lucky to have two beautiful Studios’ one in the Manawatu and the other in the Hawkes Bay and our Napier Studio in Hawkes Bay is on the hunt for a Bridal Stylist to join the team.

This role will be to take over the day to day operating once our current Stylist heads off on new adventures. 

 

We have a large client base with brides travelling the country to come and see us. We are highly motivated, work as a team and absolutely love the joy we get from helping a bride find their dream gown for their dream day. 

 

Position: 

Our Napier Studio is sole position so working independently, unsupervised, and being trustworthy is extremely important.   

This position is a permanent, part time role of approx. 20 hours per week with the possibility of extending the days with the growth of the business. Prior to the Cyclone the Studio was open on Thursdays and we would love to get back to that. 

 

Hours:

Friday 8.30am - 4/5pm 
Saturday 8.30am - 4/5pm 
Sunday 8.30am - 4/5pm 

 

Be available to start on the Friday 5th May, due to training time frames. 

 

What we need for you: 
 

  • The understanding that they are not a customer, they are your client and that this is their journey.  

  • To be able to build professional relationships with your clients, through exceptional customer service, rapport and communication during fun one-on-one appointments.  

  • Creating a warm environment and atmosphere for your brides, bridesmaids and their guests. 

  • 2 years retail experience would be preferred, but if you have the right personality then this will be considered. 

  • To be able to take control of situations and run your appointments respectfully, professionally and confidently.

  • Able to handle different personalities and maintain professionalism. 

  • Your ability to work under pressure and independently is a must, with great time management skills. 

  • Kindly consulting clients about their body shape and finding a suitable dress silhouette and style for them. In depth knowledge about shapes and silhouettes. 

  • Confidently but politely encourage the best option for your client and assist them through the try on process. 

  • Creativity and being able to think quickly. Problem solving. 

  • Great eye for detail and to be able to think outside the square. 

  • Immaculate personal presentation and style. 

  • Passion for fashion, fabrics, must have a basic understanding of the alteration process of clothing – although training will be given. 

  • Good computer and admin skills. 

  • Assisting wedding expos/events or anything similar that is presented. 

  • From time to time be required to come to Palmerston North for further role development.

 What we can offer you:

  • Full training in all computer software, studio policies, consultation processes and the day to day running of the Studio 

  • Car park allocated as part of employment (shared with Director when they are in Napier) 

  • The hourly pay rate is dependent on previous sales experience and performance during training. Starting $24per hour 

  • This role could grow in hours/days with proven sales and commitment.
